Firefighter Attacked On South Side
A Chicago Firefighter en route to a call was attacked Wednesday evening by a motorist blocking traffic on the South Side.
A fire department vehicle responding to a call with its emergency equipment activated was stopped about 5:25 p.m. in the 7200 block of South Lafayette Avenue because a vehicle was in the road, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.
Humboldt Park saw three homicides in the last week
Two women were shot to death Tuesday in the 3200 block of West Hirsch Street, officials said. Meanwhile on Friday, a 52-year-old man was fatally shot in the 3400 block of West Chicago Avenue, police said.
Harvey man dies after being shot in Markham – Chicago Breaking News
A 25-year-old Harvey man died late Wednesday night after he was shot in south suburban Markham, officials said.
James Richardson of the 14900 block of Markham Avenue in Harvey, was pronounced dead at 10:39 p.m. at Ingalls Memorial Hospital, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
