Catherina Wojtowicz: What The Tea Does Not Need

UPDATE: Chicago Tea Party Leader Threatens to Shoot Blogger

UPDATE Nov 23, 2009: Teabagger Catherina Wojtowicz In The News Again

Do you see 1000 people?
CTPP912-4WARNING! People who are looking only for information that supports their personal opinions and political agendas, may want to look elsewhere. I pursue the True, the Good, and the Beautiful regardless of where that may take me. Therefore, I have to call it as I see it.

And for my honest reporting, I was just excommunicated from the Chicago Tea Party Patriots by Birther and community organizer Catherina Wojtowicz.  I had reported that the crowd numbers at the Chicago 912 Tea Party to be between 500 and 750. This estimate was determined fist by me, having performed an actual head count while the crowd was standing still listening to the speeches, where I counted at most 500 in the main crowd. I then inquired with two Chicago police officers who also agreed that the crowd was well under 1000. Their estimate was between 500 and 750. I had come up with around 600. (and that was being kind)

The folks over at the Chicago News Bench were also at the event and have also reported that around 500 people attended the Chicago Tea Party. If you look at the photos, it is obvious that not many people were in attendance. Chicago News Bench came up with their number on their own, I had no contact with them and did not know that they were there.

About 500 people showed up to protest Big Government and Obamacare on a picture-perfect day in Chicago, on scenic Michigan Avenue. Chicago News Bench was there

Several people have expressed their disappointment and surprise by the turnout in Chicago. I talked to several people at the event that felt the same way, and I have received several in-box and email messages expressing the same. It looks as if the Chicago News Bench has gotten the same message as well:

Comment from Katja, Sept. 13, 2009:
I’d say that there were 300-400 people out there, which is small, but I’m hoping that a lot of people made it out to DC -- we managed to export the best of our lovely Chicago politics out there.

Comment from Jim, Sept. 14, 2009

What happened? I expected much more.

My reply:

The organizers of this event spent most of their time passing out fliers rather than using the internet, radio and newspapers.

I met with Catherina Wojtowicz some time ago and expressed my concerns that we would only have a few hundred people show up if all we did was pass out fliers and have 100 meetings a week. I tried to explain to her that these old school methods are one of the reasons why Obama was able to dominate the internet and absolutely dust McCain. Conservatives need to get “hip” with technology.

Catherina Wojtowicz was expecting thousands… she told the police that she was worried because “so many people were coming” she felt it was best to cancel the march so that Michigan Ave would not “have to be shut down.” I don’t know where she was at, but the cops looked at her like she was nuts. I don’t think she caught their smirk.

Catherina Wojtowicz decided to gather the people in the park rather than march, but no great crowd ever arrived. My concerns, that I had expressed to her personally weeks before, came to pass. A small, mostly unnoticed group. It was so small, that it was not even worthy to be crashed by the left. They must not have heard about it. hmmm?

This is Catherina Wojtowicz telling me I’m out and why. Catherina, and some others, were claiming 900 to 1100 people, which is stretching the truth by more than double. I can’t consciously do that just to pump up my political position.

  • You are a loser from the word go.
  • And BTW, you do realize you are a fucking roofer…
  • Omg………….. Get real…………
  • “Call the fucking Washington DC police department and the US Coast Guard”
  • “your estimates were baseless and incorrect”
  • “Your reporting and comments are incorrect — that is why they are being deleted.”
  • “Your reporting is sub par and I will not let you use my forum as a way to distribute false information.”
  • You can stand in the park.  But you are not invited as a member.

However, she still is using my videos that I made of the event! I would advise that Jason Williscroft take the wheel in Chicago. We need real leaders, not Birther wing-nuts.

I am deeply disappointed by Catherina’s poor leadership and organizational skills, as well as how quickly she descended into personal attacks and false allegations (of which the above is only a small sample). All I was doing was trying to help, and being truthful. If that’s all it takes for people to be kicked out of the Chicago Tea Party, this is a very bad sign indeed.

So, do we double the numbers on a crowd of 500? How about a crowd of 1 million? Just make it two million for a feel goody? Should we yell “crack-hore” through loudspeakers? How about “those” homeless people, should we make nasty remarks towards them as they walk by? Do we allow the extremist to take charge? Where are all the minorities? Are conservatives going to get “hip” with technology, or will we continue to drive a horse and buggy down the expressway? Many interesting points to consider.

This video shows one aspect of how conservatives are still riding horses and the liberals all drive Corvettes. Do we truly think we will win that race in the long run? Folks like Catherina Wojtowicz say yes, “I will never give up my horse!” Cool… than we will lose. Better wake up and smell the coffee people.
