Chicago Teabagger Report
UPDATE: Now I’m getting hits from the Southtown Star: Low Tea Party moment symbolic of muddy week
What a mouth on this teabagger
I noticed a traffic spike here at StreetWise and came to see what all the fuss was about. Apparently, Tea Party Patriot leader Catherina Wojtowicz is in the news again for her outrageous behavior.
I was involved with the Tea movement until I attended the 9-12 march in Chicago and began to realize that I did not want to be associated with this movement.
My feelings were further solidified when Wojtowicz threatened to blow my head off. The story below mentions the post I published about the tea movement. The post is now all over Digg, Daily Kos and other sites, just like I said it would be.
You Tea folks were all bent out of shape over the original publication of the Wojtowicz story. Rather than getting new leadership, as I suggested, you allowed her to continue organizing. When I was in contact with Tea central, I warned about allowing Big W to get in front of a video camera.

Who was behind this sickening display? A woman named, Catherina Wojtowicz, the head of the Chicago Tea Party Patriots who organized the disruption at the town meeting. Before the meeting, she ignited the seething anger of her group by sending out fliers that read: He sold us out! He voted for Socialized medicine!
When confronted about her group’s shameful actions, she defended her group’s mob behavior by smearing the Houghs, calling them liars.
Wojtowicz “…falsely claimed that the Houghs fabricated their story. In an e-mail, she called them operatives of President Barack Obama who “go from event to event and (cry) the same story.” The Chicago Tea Party leader claimed her group did not want to be subjected to personal stories illustrating the suffering of the uninsured.
“What we are talking about is the bill,” she said. “We’ve all had family members pass away, but would this health care bill really have prevented (Jenny’s) death? We do question it,” said Wojtowicz.
“I’m very sorry about the whole lack of dialogue,” Wojtowicz said. “My reaction to Midge? I don’t know what to say.” Any decent human being with an ounce of compassion would say: “I’m sorry for your loss.”
Wojtowicz is known for her aberrant behavior. After a 9/12 march in Chicago, she engaged in an online dispute with a fellow teapartier, that resulted in allegations against her of cyber-stalking. And the dispute carried over to Facebook, when she threatened to blow the member’s head off.
Wojtowicz is also known to be a birther conspiracy theorist. What is very clear, is that Wojtowicz and the Chicago Tea Party Patriots are symptomatic of a growing minority of unhinged right-wingers, who cannot accept the presidency of Barack Obama. And the increasing climate of ignorance, hate and thuggery is truly alarming.
