This summer season has over 500 free shows playing in the Millenium Park. The Music Without Borders series begins this Wednesday, Jun 3, at 6:30 pm. This show will feature Dulsori, the South Korean percussion sensation. Should be a good show. I love hanging out at the park after finishing my roofing work. It’s cool just sitting and watching all the people checking out our great city.
One of my favorite Chicago street musicians is Kaliq Woods and his Kaliceo Band. I caught Kaliq playing solo out in front of the Wrigley building today. People were having a blast, dancing and enjoying the sounds of Chicago Jazz. I have included one of Kaliq’s YouTube videos and his contact information if you want to order his CD, or book the band for your private party. The quartet has played at the 57th street Yacht Club, the Velvet Lounge, and various other events. We forsee a blessed music career.”

A Chicago Police officer was critically injured and four others also injured in a South Side car crash Wednesday, police said.
The officer’s service revolver was reportedly stolen after the accident, which left the officer trapped in his vehicle, police said. Authorities are seeking video footage of the theft.
The accident happened after at least two and possibly three vehicles collided at the intersection of 98th and Halsted streets at about 11:45 a.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.
A police vehicle was involved in the crash. The injured officer was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Quention Curtis said.
